Finland HouseFinland House was founded in 1994 by Mr. Clas G. Bystedt who had been working as First Secretary at the Trade Office of the Embassy of Finland in Tokyo between June 1, 1988 and June 15, 1994.
The overall purpose of Finland House is to promote business between Finland and Japan, naturally focusing on improving the businesses of Finnish companies in Japan. A main task to fulfil this objective is the role Finland House has to work as the administrative office of the Finnish Chamber of Commerce in Japan (FCCJ), were Mr. Bystedt acts as the Executive Director.
Finland House is also the administrative office of the Finland Village in Koumi-cho, Nagano-ken and is also involved in the utilization and further developement of the village.
At present Mr. Bystedt is the Representative Director of K.K. Finland Village.
